Ideal for beginners and intermediates, Rafting can be practiced by children (over 8 years old) and adults.

 

RAFTING is defined as “descending rivers with rapids in inflatable boats”. In this activity, the river is the boss. Rapids, whirlpools, waves, small waterfalls: exploring a watercourse in an inflatable boat is the great grace of rafting. Participants, who form groups of up to seven people, are led by an instructor responsible for guiding the group along the route.

 

In order to go down the river and overcome its obstacles, it is necessary to put the team spirit into practice and understand that rhythm, togetherness, a sense of leadership, sensory perception and even solidarity count a lot for the boat to advance.

The activity is classified into classes of difficulty ranging from I to VI, depending on the obstacles, the volume of water and the region where the river is located.

 

Here at 'Ilha Parque de Aventura' the level of difficulty is II and III. In adventure tourism, the activity is usually carried out up to class IV, the others being only suitable for professionals.

ISLAND PARK OF ADVENTURES

 

The "Ilha", as it is known, is 5 km from the city center towards Rio Preto MG. The property is on the banks of the Rio Preto, the main river in the region and great for the practice of adventure sports. It has several islands, rapids and an exuberant nature.

 

Since 2012 it offers options for water activities such as Boia Cross and Canoagem, and in 2014 it started Rafting activities.

 

The Place promises to soon be a reference in the area of ​​Adventure Tourism, with the implementation of new sports and leisure areas for customers in the midst of nature.

 

 

All activities are conducted by trained and experienced instructors to carry out outdoor activities in complete safety.

​

 

Associated with ABETA (Brazilian Association of Ecotourism and Adventure Tourism Companies), the activities follow the manuals of good practices, are Brazilian standards developed by ABNT with the support of ABETA's technical secretariat, in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and Sebrae , these standards that were used as a basis for the international standardization of Adventure Tourism, within the scope of ISO (International Organization for Standardization).

 

The Place also has three apartments available for rent, all for couples, launched in the New Year's Eve 2014/2015.

 

 

Another service offered is the rental of its structure for holding parties and events, such as birthdays and weddings, which can be integrated with the activities carried out on site.
